Terms and Conditions

  1. Ordering

    1.1 Orders can be placed online on this website or by phone, fax, post or through customer's official ordering processes depending on the school or organisation. Please check with finance officers first if phone orders are allowed or official order numbers must be quoted.

    1.3 From receipt of order, the average turnaround time of goods can be from 1-10 working days depending on availability and to a certain extent the publisher involved but on average it is 5 working days.

    1.4 All goods are despatched on a 2 day service. When signing for deliveries please make sure that the correct number of parcels are signed for and that boxes are received in good condition. Claims for shortages when the parcels have been signed for incorrectly cannot be considered.

    1.5 Any titles not available due to them being out of stock, re-printing etc. are coded as follows:

    Items with X Codes.

     

    These are products that are in the process of being reprinted by the publisher and are expected to be available within the next three months. In these cases we record your purchase and as soon as the products are made available we will despatch them to you. They will be sent with free delivery and addressed to the department that ordered the goods. In these cases you do not have to take any action as the delivery will be completed once the goods are back in stock.

     

    Items with Z Codes.

     

    These are products that are in the process of being reprinted by the publisher but are not expected to be available for some time or where there is no information as to when they will be available. In these cases we do not record your purchase as by the time they become available you may well have decided that you no longer want them and then it becomes a logistical problem in retrieving goods no longer required. If however you do require the goods we would ask you to submit a new order for them allowing at least three months to elapse before doing so. If they are then available we will despatch them by the normal channels.

     

  2. Charges and Payment

    2.1 Prices are always current publisher at time of supply and subject to change without notice.

    2.2 Payment for goods via BACS, cheque or creditcard is expected within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed.

  3. Returns

    3.1 No returns will be accepted unless permission has been granted. Requests for returns will only be considered if made within 14 days of supply.

    3.2 In the event of returning goods, a credit will be issued on receipt of the goods in re-saleable condition at our warehouse.

    3.3 The goods must be in good condition for a credit to be issued. When returning goods please make sure that they are securely packed, any badly damaged books which have not been packaged securely will not be credited.

    3.4 If any goods are found damaged or incorrect to your order on receipt then please telephone our customer service line on 01942 728848 within 10 days of the delivery. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, the matter will be dealt with in one of the following ways:

    3.5 Damaged books – Depending on the quantity and the weight, we will arrange either to have the books picked up by a courier at our expense or ask you to return lighter items by post (either book or title page) and on receipt we will credit the postage.

    3.6 Shortages – Once we have been notified of any shortage a thorough check of our despatch process will be carried out. If this fails to track any problem the shortage will be re-ordered and sent on free of charge with a copy of the original invoice.

    3.7 Incorrect orders – If quantities or titles are received incorrectly please telephone our customer service line and the problem will then be investigated. If we discover that a fault has been made on our part we will arrange for a courier to pick up any incorrect goods at our expense. If the the investigation reveals that the problem is the result of customer error eg wrong Redkite Code ordered, then we are unable to pay for any postal charges incurred when returning the goods.

    3.8 Cancellation of orders..if you wish to cancel your order please get in touch with us as soon as possible by telephone or email. No unauthorised returns will be accepted into our depot without an authorisation code obtained from us. If an order has already been despatched should you wish to cancel you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods which must arrive back to us in a saleable condition. A fee will be applicable for the costs involved in us sending out the goods to you and for returning them to the publisher. No cancellation of an order is permissable 7 days after the goods have been received by the customer.
  4. Privacy Statement

    4.1 We know you care how the information we gather about you is used and respect your right to privacy.

    4.2 We will only use information you provide us to maintain your account, provide you with the best possible service and to inform you of services and offers relevant to you.

    4.3 We will not sell or rent information you provide us to others and will treat it as confidential.

Quote a school purchase order number and an invoice will be sent to your finance department.

U.K. schools have an automatic credit facility with us that allows you to place your order today.If we are delivering to a school address you can pay for your order by quoting a school purchase order number when in the checkout section of this site. We will send the goods to the school with an invoice for the total amount sent to your finance officer making buying for you, the teacher, as easy as possible.
