We visit the derelict lead mines to bring to life the hell on earth it would have been for the assorted slaves and debtors who would have populated these dungeons of death. On a lighter note, we move onto Lydney to explore the religious and civil legacy of Roman rule, the temple and the villa, all embedded in the landscape.
