Coastal Environments

Looks at weathering, erosion, deposition, cliff collapse and the management of coastal areas in the UK. The resource is a virtual tour around the outstanding natural beauty of the Exmoor National Park with the Education Manager for the park, Dave Gurnett. Dave explains many of the features of coastal areas and the challenges in managing the gradual retreat of the coast. Dr Jasper Knight of Exeter University is also on hand to give explanations of some of the geographical phenomena of coastal environments.
